"You wouldn't believe it, but on Mont Saint Michel there's not just a monastery but also a gallery of shops, restaurants and snack bars. Heck, I even spotted a post office and a hotel! But it was very crowded with tourists, so I guess all shops can and will benefit from them.
About this spot: I thank god that I took 3 shots here. The single shots look quite dull and liveless, but the 3 blended (-2, 0, +2 EV) make up for a perfect HDR (imho). When I did the square crop it improved even more. So much more that I think this is one of the best shots in my stream so far. Hope you like it too!"

"Another shot from Praia da Rocha. A fantastic beach to enjoy the sunset with the wife and a cold Superbock. I could have happily hung around on this beach for a couple of days."

Two of Us
Two of us wearing raincoats
Standing so low
In the sun
You and me chasing paper
Getting nowhere
On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home
You and I have memories
Longer than the road that stretches out ahead
The Beatles: Two of Us

Baby Lion
"The lion (Panthera leo) is one of four big cats in the genus Panthera, and a member of the family Felidae. With some males exceeding 250 kg (550 lb) in weight,[4] it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger. Wild lions currently exist in Sub-Saharan Africa and in Asia with a critically endangered remnant population in northwest India, having disappeared from North Africa, the Middle East, and Western Asia in historic times. Until the late Pleistocene, which was about 10,000 years ago, the lion was the most widespread large land mammal after humans. They were found in most of Africa, much of Eurasia from western Europe to India, and in the Americas from the Yukon to Peru."

I awoke last night to the sound of thunder...
" awoke last night to the sound of thunder (well actually it was 4:30 this morning). How far off I sat and wondered"
"Drove to the Marin Headlands but it was way too foggy so I went low near the Coast Guard station for this shot of the Golden Gate Bridge. Sat in my car with a remote shutter listening to podcasts. Wrapped a poncho around my camera when the rain started. Took lots of shots, this was about my fourth shot of the morning when I got lucky. You should of heard me say "YEEEESS!" when I saw the huge strike and the sky lit up white/blue with light. Ooooh, what a lucky man he was (Ode to ELP)." those were the words used by the photographer to describe this photo.

9-11
"For almost two years I was passing this memorial in Tinton Falls, NJ, and always wanted to have a closer look. I’m glad I did have a closer look and learned more about the World Trade Center towers memorial replica. Tinton Falls is one of the commuter towns that lost residents in the attacks of September 11, 2001. The memorial is a detailed 8-ft. (~2,5m) tall plywood replica of the Twin Towers. Personal memorials, flowers and photos have been added around the base.
This 9-11 Memorial was erected on December 14, 2001 in front of Fire Company No. 1 in Tinton Falls. It is presented by Jared Stevens and the Tinton Falls Fire Company No. 1 for anyone touched by the tragic events of September 11, 2001
I think this memorial is a good way to commemorate those lost on September 11." SAID THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Visiting The Subway
"We had a great trip to The Subway in Zion National Park. I found it a pretty tough hike especially packing 50 lbs. of camera gear. Where is a Sherpa when you need one! When we got to the actual Subway though it was well worth it. I could have spent hours exploring and photographing this place but knew we still had a grueling hike out and others who were there just for the hike.
There are so many angles and composition possibilities. The view above is the most photographed angle that I have seen but the opportunities are endless. One of the hard parts for me was constantly packing and unpacking my camera in my water proof backpack. This area in particular was extremely slippery so I would take a picture, pack my camera and move to another spot. I would then unpack the camera, set up and shoot repeating this process over and over"
these were the words used by the photographer to describe the above photo.

Notre Dame of Luxembourg
words below are of the original photographer : "Same church, 25 meters to the back, I guess, I didn't count it :)
I did a symmetry flip again, not because this church isn't symmetrical, because it is, but because I wanted this shot to be a bit more wide "

Just a Moment
"I'm not afraid
Of anything in this world
There's nothing you can throw at me
That I haven't already heard
I'm just trying to find
A decent melody
A song that I can sing
In my own company"
the amazing photo has inspired the photographer to say the above words.... amazing how beauty can affect the minds of people .

Some Light Amidst Darkness
The photographer had a beautiful comment on this photo , it says : " Sometimes the more we try to make things Light, cool, easy and simple
We are always left and thrown in the dark, difficult, complicated and black pit
All of us do get scared momentarily, or even steadily
But we should keep the faith that we'll adjust soon, if not us at least our eyes will..
We can all get scared. We will get over it. We have to. "

ANG KUHOL | HBW
facts below are from the photographer :
"THE SNAIL FACTS 15 NON-BORING SPECIFICATIONS
1. The largest land snail ever found was 15 inches long and weighed 2 pounds!
Snails' bodies produce a thick slime. Because of this slime, they can crawl across the edge of a razor and not get hurt.
2. Some snails have been known to live up to 15 years.
3. Snails are hermaphrodites which means that they have both male and female reproductive organs.
4. Snails usually travel in irregular paths, often traveling in a circle.
5. Snails reply mainly on their sense of touch and smell when finding food because they have very poor eyesight.
6. Snails cannot hear.
7. Snails can retract one or both of their tentacles at a time.
8. Because of the suction created by their slime, a snail can crawl upside down.
9. Snails are nocturnal animals which means they are more active at night.
Garden Snails mainly eat garden plants and vegetables, but they will also eat decaying plants and soil.
10. The fastest snails are the speckled garden snails which can move up to 55 yards per hour compared 23 inches per hour of most other land snails.
11. Garden snails hibernate during the winter and live on their stored fat.
12. Garden snails breathe with lungs.
13. Garden snails evolved from sea snails about 600 million years ago.
14. The garden snail is cooked and eaten as a delicacy called escargot
15. May 24th is National Escargot Day
Snails can be found in a wide range of environments from ditches, deserts, and the abyssal depths of the sea. Although most people are familiar with terrestrial snails, land snails are in the minority. Marine snails have much greater diversity and a greater biomass. The great majority of snail species are marine. Numerous kinds can be found in fresh water and even brackish water. Many snails are herbivorous, though a few land species and many marine species are omnivores or predatory carnivores. "

For those who loves sheep
read the notes of the photographer about this photo below :
"The Highlands are indeed one of Scotland's most precious assets. They are romantic, impressive and offer very beautiful scenery. No wonder the Highlands are so famous and have been used as filming location for numerous movies including Highlander, Braveheart and Harry Potter. One can only appreciate their beauty if they actually see them. It's difficult to say which area of the Highlands and Islands would make for the most representative photos to use in brochures, posters or framed prints because the variety in scenery makes it virtually impossible to choose. However, the Isle of Skye uniquely combines mountain landscapes with the Hebrides island character to become a miniature Scotland. And of course, no gallery of the Scottish Highlands and Islands would be complete without including a few adorable sheep.
Those sheep came running towards me. Maybe I did look like their farmer. A photo of common sheeps at this beautiful location in the north of Isle of Skye - Scotland. Did you know there are more sheeps on the island than people?"

Hillside hut at Machu Picchu, Peru
" This is one of the stone huts built on the side of the mountain, by the pathway that leads from where the shuttle bus drops you off to the main part of Machu Picchu. The thatch roof is clearly a modern addition, but I'm not sure to what extent this structure was restored or rebuilt, or even a modern replica built in the Inca style. In any case, it is a beautiful spot. " Said the photographer of this amazing scene
