"thinking of J. M. W. Turner (1775-1851): in 1815, there was an outbreak of the volcano Tambora, worldwide the most important eruption after that one of the lake Taupo some 20.000 years before... this eruption changed the daylight for a long time and the sunsets in Europe have been so beautiful as never described before - all the shadings of red, orange and purple, sometimes even blue and green..."
