words of the photographer :
"Archiving! Wishing it was spring again. It was fun visiting the bird rookeries and seeing little ones. This nest started with 2 babies...ended up with one. He did make it, though. His parents worked really hard taking care of him, taking turns looking for food and feeding him. It's quite inspiring watching the whole process.

Morning on Lake St Clair
Words of the photographer :
"I'm still working on repainting my 1966 Starcraft. So far, the outside of the hull is complete. I also stripped down the wood on the seats, and refinished the mahogany. I also painted the sides of the seats white. Next, I need to repaint the inside of the hull, but boating season started, and I didn't want to be without the boat "

White Tailed Eagle
The White-tailed Eagle is a large bird, 69–92 cm (27–36 in) long with a 182–244 cm (72–96 in) wingspan. Females, weighing 4–6.9 kg (8.8–15.2 lbs), are slightly larger than males, which weigh 3.1-5.4 kg (6.8–12 lbs). It is the fourth largest eagle in the World. It has broad "barn door" wings, a large head and a thick "meat-cleaver" beak. The Golden Hour
Words of the photographer :
"That was the title for our Picture This! assignment this week, referring to those times near sunrise and sunset when the light is magical. Unfortunately, we've had nothing but cloudy and rainy days. I snapped this one just before sunset when the sun peeked through the clouds after a rain for a very short time. These maple leaves start out red and turn green later. I did not sharpen; the golden outline around the leaves occurred naturally because of the sun's back-lighting"

Rainbow over London
Words of the photographer :
'[Captures everything if you look at the 'original' view - London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, The Gherkin in the distance, Barbican, Strata at Elephant & Castle, Canary Wharf and the Shard. A much harder to spot second rainbow, that I only noticed on the photograph, is just visible above the original rainbow to the right and left.
